Has anyone got any tips on how to make the raised text look better, it’s way too dark on God’s dls - I wanna try the nail varnish remover method but don’t want to fuck my ID in the process

Just dab the surname with a cotton wool bud dipped in varnish remover, and apply multiple coats. It's not necessary to apply almost any pressure, but a tiny bit will help.
